A quick sequence check, entirely in your browser
Paste a FASTA file (or drop one) to get GC-content landscapes, ORFs in all six frames, restriction maps, codon usage and translation — no upload, nothing leaves your machine.
How to use
- 1 · Load — pick an example, paste FASTA, or drag a
.fastafile in. - 2 · Explore — switch tabs: map, GC, ORFs, codons, tools.
- 3 · Export — download ORFs as FASTA or any table as CSV.

Load one of the bundled examples, paste a FASTA, or drop a file to begin. Everything runs locally — your data never leaves the page.

Translation
Translate a selection
Enter 1-based start and end positions (inclusive), or leave blank for the whole record. Frames 1–3 read the forward strand; frames −1…−3 use the reverse complement.
Reverse complement
Returns the reverse complement of the current record (or a selection).
Find motif (IUPAC codes)
Searches both strands for a motif using IUPAC ambiguity codes (e.g. R=A/G, Y=C/T, N=any, W=A/T, S=C/G, K=G/T, M=A/C, B=C/G/T, D=A/G/T, H=A/C/T, V=A/C/G). Overlapping hits are reported.
Data & sources
Bundled example sequences are unmodified NCBI Entrez E-utilities efetch responses, retrieved 2026-09-13. All analysis is computed locally in your browser; no data is uploaded.
Restriction-site recognition sequences are standard published motifs (New England Biolabs / REBASE). Motif search, translation and ORF prediction use the standard genetic code (table 11).
