Using AI to Foster Interdisciplinary Research

U of I faculty members and postdoctoral researchers are invited to participate in Using AI to Foster Interdisciplinary Research Oct. 24 in the IRIC Atrium and online. Hosted by the Institute for Modeling Collaboration and Innovation and the Institute for Interdisciplinary Data Sciences, the workshop will introduce U of I AI tools and their uses and limitations, particularly related to data sovereignty and environmental impacts. Six invited speakers from across campus will share their research and demonstrate how they use AI in their work. Participants will then join small interdisciplinary groups led by the guest speakers to explore a dataset, draw conclusions and examine ethical questions from multiple perspectives. Continental breakfast, lunch and coffee will be provided.

Register for the workshop.
